Quick Start Guide

Connect Your Google Search Console Account

The initial connection to Google Search Console is necessary for our software to work.

The good news is that it is super simple to connect your Google Account with URL Monitor. In fact, it is the 1st step that you do when purchasing the software. This connection should done with the main Google Search Console (GSC) account that you would like to have monitored and indexed by the software. If you have more than 1 Google Search Console account that you would like to add, you can do so with licenses that have TEAM access (Pro or higher).

  1. When prompted, connect your main Google Search Console Account that you would like to set up for monitoring and indexing with URL Monitor. If you have more than one GSC account, you can enable multiple GSC accounts with plans Pro and above.

  2. After the connection has been made, you will see the sites attached to this Google Search Console account come into your Sites Dashboard. To kick off the software, you can enable the sites directly in the dashboard.

  3. Attach the service worker emails to your sites that you would like the indexing feature to be enabled. Instructions are directly in the pop-up for how to active these worker emails. Best practice: If you URL Monitor account has 25 service emails, we now recommend spreading around the worker emails to different sites; more on that in best practices

  4. Be sure to test the activation of the worker emails by hitting CHECK STATUS. When these are active, you will start to see your daily quota at the account level populate in your dashboard.

  5. Enable your sites on the dashboard and the software will start the process of indexing and monitoring.

We've recently added BING INDEXING as well.

Bing Indexing

To get started with Bing Indexing, you need to visit Bing Webmaster Tools and sign up for their API keys. Don't worry - this takes about 1 minute in total to do and is free.

When you have your API Key ready, drop it in your URL Monitor Account on the account page and you will automatically start to index your pages via BING that are on auto-indexing with URL Monitor.

By the end of 2024, we will have a dashboard dedicated solely for BING Indexing
